Supervision and Consultation in Support of the Remediation of the National Site for Treatment of Hazardous Materials in Naot Hovav
Ecolog, on behalf of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, supervised and provided professional support on the Neot Hovav national project that included the remediation of seven old hazardous waste sites at Lot 181. The remediation process, included treatment of hazardous waste and contaminated soil using various technologies (biological treatment, stabilization solidification, incineration, etc.), initial investigations, land and gas surveys in the remediated reservoirs and recommendations for continued treatment and landfilling.
Ecolog`s technical support work included the review and approval of work plans, various engineering calculations, supervision and monitoring over the treatment and remediation phases of the waste on the site, starting with waste sampling during the various remediation phases, and further on conducting sampling and chemical analysis, quality assurance of landfill waste, quality control over the closure (including capping) of hazardous waste landfills on the site, and providing professional opinions and permits for all the various project work phases.
Ecolog provided the on-site technical support for this operation for over seven years.
